Kool Solutions India is in the emerging public refrigerated warehouse (“PRW”) business.  Kool Solutions is focused on providing third party storage and logistics services offering accurate, timely and cost effective solutions to its customers.

Kool Solutions was formed in September, 2012 to build and operate large, state-of-the-art PRW’s in major Indian metros in order to store chilled/frozen foods (fruits, vegetables, meat, poultry, food enzymes and dairy) and pharmaceutical products.

Kool Solutions is part of an industry that endeavors to tackle excessive food loss/wastage and provides food security in India.

Kool Solutions offers fully integrated cold chain solutions in conjunction with its transportation partners which operate a network of refrigerated trucks throughout India.

Kool Solutions is well positioned to provide modern cold storage facilities to companies looking to protect their brand value by operating across a reliable cold chain.  To obtain scale economies and gain operational efficiencies, Kool Solutions is committed to construct a number of temperature-controlled PRW’s in India.

Kool Solutions  opened Phase 1 of its first state-of-the-art PRW in Taloja, Mumbai in August, 2017 with 6,000 pallet positions, 9 dock doors, a refrigerated dock and six convertible rooms to hold temperatures between -29°C to +15°C.  Phase 2 was opened in November, 2019 with 4,000 pallet positions.  The facility is BRC Certified (Grade A), URSA certified and EIA approved.  Thirty percent of the electricity is derived from a solar energy system.  The facility is monitored by an online CCTV system and 24/7 onsite security guards.  The facility is currently taking all COVID-19 preventative measures as per CDC guidelines.

Kool is a 50/50 joint venture between Samsara Capital Group of India and Spire Group Limited of Toronto, Canada.  Samsara is a privately-held Mumbai-based investment company with expertise in real estate and land development pan-India.  Spire Group, a Canadian specialist cold storage owner and operator, has an unparalleled 30 years of experience in the development of cold storage facilities in North America, New Zealand and Eastern Europe.
